Day by Day

Day 1 - Arrival in Lima

Arrival in Lima. Your private host will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel in the heart of Miraflores.

Day 2 - Lima: Gastronomy & History

A full-immersion Lima day - a five-stop gastronomic tour across three districts, a hands-on ceviche cooking class, a pisco sour, and lunch at Huaca Pucllana. In the afternoon, a private tour of Lima's historic centre: the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the catacombs of San Francisco, and the ancient Casa Aliaga mansion.

Day 3 - Fly to Iquitos & Board the Delfin

Fly to Iquitos - accessible only by air and water - and transfer to Nauta to board the luxury Delfin vessel. Set sail along the Marañón River, scanning the riverbanks for birds and monkeys as the Peruvian Amazon unfolds around you.

Day 4 - Pacaya Samiria Reserve: Aerial Walkway & Shaman

An extraordinary day deep in the reserve. Traverse a thrilling 500-metre aerial walkway suspended 25 metres above the forest floor. Meet Carola, a revered Amazonian shaman. Cruise the Yanayacu and Pucate Rivers by skiff and kayak, try piranha fishing, and venture out on a night ride into the jungle after dark.

Day 5 - Jungle Trail, Amazon Communities & the Meeting of the Rivers

Walk the Fundo Casual jungle trail in search of anacondas, rainbow boas, tarantulas, sloths, and poison frogs. Visit Amazonian communities by skiff. Arrive at the iconic confluence where the Ucayali and Marañón rivers meet to form the Amazon - celebrated with a toast on deck.

Day 6 - Return to Iquitos & Fly to Cusco

Cruise back to Nauta and journey to Iquitos, stopping at the Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre of River Mammals - Amazon Forever - to meet baby manatees and learn about river conservation. Fly to Cusco, where your host will be waiting.

Day 7 - Sacred Valley: Pisac & Ollantaytambo

A day in the Sacred Valley - the hilltop ruins and panoramic terraces of Pisac, the vibrant artisan market below, and the imposing fortress and temple complex of Ollantaytambo.

Day 8 - Community Immersion & Ceramic Pottery

An immersive morning in a local Andean community - agricultural activities, animal husbandry, and a visit to the village school. In the afternoon, a private workshop with a Cusqueño master ceramist: learn traditional techniques and create your own piece to take home.

Day 9 - Machu Picchu: First Visit

The scenic train from Ollantaytambo through cloud forest to Aguas Calientes, then up to Machu Picchu. A private guided tour - the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Condor - crowned with a sunset at one of the world's great wonders.

Day 10 - Machu Picchu: Deeper Exploration

Return early for a deeper exploration - myths, folklore, and Inca architectural mastery. Optional limited-entry hike for panoramic views from above. Scenic train return to Cusco.

Day 11 - Cusco

Explore the Imperial City - Q'orikancha, the Cathedral's Cusqueñan Last Supper, the San Pedro market, and the bohemian San Blas quarter. In the afternoon, the great fortress of Sacsayhuamán.

Day 12 - Lima & Departure

A late-morning flight to Lima, followed by an afternoon in the artistic Barranco district - murals, galleries, and the romantic Puente de los Suspiros. Private transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
